Work and play

Whilst I was born in England, I was fortunate enough to also grow up in 2 other countries - the USA (specifically, Nebraska) for a couple of years and Belgium. I was in Belgium for most of the childhood that I can remember, so I call it home, and wish I could travel back there more often.

I came back to the UK to study Management Sciences at Warwick University, and following that moved straight to London for an internship with a PR agency. I have lived here ever since.

My career to date has afforded me some incredible opportunities and introduced me to some lifelong friends. I've had lots of different (but complementary!) roles, and I like to think that demonstrates that I love learning and expanding my skillset. It's especially useful when I work at smaller organisations who require all-rounders. I'm often drafted when a business needs someone to solve a complex problem, optimise a business model or to take a project by the horns and get it done.

Theatre is something I've always been passionate about ever since I played 'driver' in 'wheels on the bus' (my mum was so proud). I'm an actor and singer (if you want me to join you somewhere, suggest Karaoke), and have also thrown my hat into the ring to direct shows too.

Improvisation is a passion I have only recently discovered. It teaches confidence, presentation, teamwork, listening, idea generation and idea development. I founded Simprov in 2017 and have been teaching and learning improvisation ever since. I'm really proud to have taught IB students in Belgium how to improvise over Zoom during COVID-19. I'm also a founding member of Banana Hut Gang and we took a sold-out show to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2019. You can watch us do our thing, here.

I love travelling (read: laying on a beach reading a book). I also love cooking, especially intricate recipes that take all day and include at least 1 ingredient I've never used before. Unfortunately, I'm a terrible baker, but I keep trying.

Last but not least, I live with my partner Andrew and my incredible daughter, Lyra. They're the best.
